This study provides an analysis of vendor performance in the tablet market in 2016. At the global level, Apple (share of 24.3%), Samsung (15.2%), and Amazon (6.9%) formed the top 3 tablet vendors, with the last one supplanting Lenovo in that ranking from the previous year. In the United States, Apple (31.9%) remained the largest vendor, but Amazon (21.5%) has replaced Samsung (14.8%) as the second-largest vendor, with the latter relegated to third place. RCA (8.2%) and LG Electronics (4.3%) round out the top 5 vendors in the United States.
